Terror bombing is a term used for aerial attacks planned to weaken or break enemy moral. This marks an important turn in warfare in which psychological war was as important as physical war. It was part of what caused the initial view that Hitler's Nazi Germany "could not be killed" . In fact it was not until the battle of Britain that this held true. This tactic of bombing and kill for fear's sake where part of the Blitzkrieg tactic.
